i cant stop the tears from coming down,
knowing that i have to leave you there.
knowing that i wont see you again for months.

Filled with nothing but pain
With no way out
Forced to relive the memories
The constant struggle to hold on
To not inflict pain on myself
Just to know that I was still alive.
To not give in to the darkness
Not to listen to the ghosts of the past
To hold on until one day someone came
To know that I wasn’t forgotten.

Letting go is hard to do
The truth hurts
And lies heal.

Almost all of it was based on false truths
But do I hold on or let go?
